So I'm Orockthro, one of the mods and co-creator of this place. We're still in the baby stages of getting this thing running, but I'm excited that we're starting and I hope people find it a place they can spend time and talk.

I'm POI fan (to no one's surprise) who writes fic, makes a monthly podcast with another fan (Cortue) about the women on POI, and apparently now I mod a DW comm on POI! My favorite aspects of the show are the blooming sci/fi and AI elements, the relationship between Finch and Reese, and the amazing lady characters we have now.

Hello!

I'm sarcasticsra, or Sara, whichever you prefer, your other mod and co-creator. My love for POI has completely taken over my brain, because that's just what happens, as we all know. You're going about your business, lalala, this show is pretty good, OH MY GOD EVERYTHING IS BEAUTIFUL AND NOTHING HURTS. Although with this show, everything hurts. But is still beautiful, usually.

I write fic and am prone to capslock-y exultation. Currently working on about a million fics and a super cracky Finch/Reese mix, because I both adore them and adore poking fun at them. (They just make it so easy.)

I love a lot of things about the show, especially the AI elements with the Machine (and how the Machine is a character in and of itself), the way relationships have developed between all the characters, the excellent antagonists, and especially all the kickass women. Season three is going to be amazing.

Don't be shy! I am pretty much always excited to chat about just about anything. :D

Alas, Jessica faking her death is not something I have plans to write. I'm totally willing to be convinced, though. I'd have to decide a) how much to screw with John about it and b) if I can keep my diehard shipping out of it and c) if I even should bother trying to keep my diehard shipping out of it and d) if shipping Jessica/Shaw is completely wrong... etc, etc.

You know. Things like that.

Hi! I'm Kelly (Sara's other roommate, the fannish one who is into PoI). I absolutely love the amazing women on the show. And also Bear, Bear can come to any of their hangouts. I mean, I love everyone. But the women are just something special--you don't see female characters like them every day. As for Bear, I just like that one of the main cast is a semi-service dog. And is better socialized than John.

Also, forever the Finch/Reese times, and I cannot wait for Grace to find out Harold lives (because she will).

I'm eris! I draw a bit of fanart and write a bit of fic, primarily Finch/Reese. I have high hopes for more exploration of Machine-as-character in forthcoming seasons, since I find that more interesting than the depressing reality of the surveillance state, hah. I am also tremendously excited for Shaw to join the main cast, because she is fantastic and Bear needs a friend (Person of Interest: Even the Dog is Depressed).

Hello, I'm hedda62/Hedda/Erica, and I am slightly dazed from having driven three hours this morning, so no coherence in this intro, but... hi. I am also on AO3 and (more recently) Tumblr. I love all the characters and plots and... stuff on this show (I told you, no brain today) but I seem to be particularly fond of Finch, Grace, Shaw and the Machine, and am an unabashed Finch/Reese shipper who doesn't feel that has to take away from any other ships that may sail or get stuck in harbor or have been already tragically sunk. But I also love genfic. And meta.

Oh, intros... I'm April. Been a fan forever and a POI fan since July 2012 when I became totally obsessed after just an ep or two. I write fic and post it on my LJ and DW and AO3 and on Tumblr I'm POIDino (cause I'm a fannish dinsosaur, lol, they were still walking the earth when I got started in fandom, you see.) I love all things POI but focus on Reese and Finch and their relationship, whether slash or just as best buds. I'm so looking forward to the new season and I hop all the fans love it.

Hi! I'm Sara, and I've only been in the fandom since June, but it has devoured me. It's all hedda62's fault.

I am an unapologetic Shaw fangirl but in general am so very pleased that this is taking off as an ensemble show. I love the Finch/Reese relationship in all its iterations; I'm also happy to see them 'shipped with others, because it's that kind of dynamic. When I write, I tend toward gen and/or repression, which works beautifully with these characters.

And--women. Interesting women (of color!) with their own motivations and stories!


Also, Michael Emerson. That is all.

I'm Cathy. *waves*. I'm not even sure how this show and this fandom took me so completely, but I fell hard. I love to both read and write fanfiction, and I tend towards gen or Reese/Finch shipping-- but I welcome any and every other ship. I don't participate a lot, because I'm a perennial lurker, but a very, very friendly one.
I'm pretty sure there are few things I find more endearing than Michael Emerson; as for secondary characters, I particularly like Grace and Root, and I swear-- there's really nothing that gets me more than the tragedy that is Nathan Ingram. What compels me the most are the themes of redemption, memory, and regret that the main characters share, as well as, gen or slash, the subtlety, unsaids, and nuance within Reese and Finch's relationship.
I'm so happy to see this community, and congratulations to the mods for starting it!

Yes yes yes yes thissssss. There was a bit towards the end of second season where I literally had to turn to a friend of mine who hadn't seen the show and wasn't interested and just scream at her about it, about how PERFECT it was and about the SHADES OF GREY and how this was definitely a movement about REGRET but the PHYSICAL MEMORY WAS PERFECT and how amazing it was that a scene could be one character's redemption and one character's regret and HOW MUCH CAN I NO LONGER POSSESSED and yes. Ahem.

I tend to, uh, capslock my feels all over the place.

Hi! I'm another member of this community who also adores Grace and Root! I really want more of Ingram, though... I feel like I haven't seen quiiiiite enough to bond with him yet. If that makes sense.
