What Are You Excited to See in S3?

We have just a short while to wait now until S3 premieres (AHH!). What is everyone excited to see when S3 rolls out?

SHAW. Oh my goodness, Shaw. I cannot begin to fathom how anyone in the fandom was upset by the season promo being all about sassy badass Shaw. She is such a breath of fresh air to the holding pattern that was the Finch/Reese secret Machine-knowers club. (I guess some people seem to resent her for filling a place Carter could fill, but I think they are on very different arcs with very different ethos, and both of them are fascinating. WHY NOT MORE FULLY-REALISED LADIES OF COLOUR IN YOUR SHOW, TUMBLR?)

Sorry, I get a little capslocky when I think about all the Shaw we are going to get next season. Also, still hoping there is at least one episode that becomes the Shaw and Leon and Bear Show. For reasons.

The Shaw and Leon and Bear Show is just a thing that just needs to exist. For ALL the reasons. Maybe throw in Root too for fun.

I am so excite for that episode with Zoe, Carter, and Shaw, I honestly don't really have words. My excitement mostly manifests as speechless flailing.

I'm excited (for a millllion things but I'll stick to one for right now) for the AI/Machine stuff that's bound to happen.

We left off with the machine being recognized as sentient and capable of making its own choices and pretty much abandoning the restrictions Finch put in place to keep it from ... doing exactly what it does in the season finale.
It can be (and I think it will be) treated as a character in its own right, and I'm incredibly excited to see how the writers take that in terms of how other characters interact with it (John, for sure, and Finch, of course, but also Root!)
Will Finch's attitude towards the machine change now that it's "free?" IHNI but I'm incredibly curious Will it have a personality and attitude? And character motivations? (I THINK YES)
IT'S GONNA BE INTERESTING.

Coming off of the roller coaster of season's end, the first thing I gasped out was "Elias and Carter WTF I want to know what's up with that NOW." So I am still very excited for that, but also for THE LADIES and Shaw particularly, and for the Free Machine and what is up with her and Root. Sorry, there is just so much it's hard to pick one thing. IS IT SEPTEMBER 24 YET WHAT ABOUT NOW.

Carter and Elias is going to be AMAZING, I need to see where that's going ASAP, for serious. And what plans the Machine has for Root...ugh, there's so much good stuff coming up, all the excitement.

Seriously, why hasn't it just magically turned into September 24th yet? Psh, linear progression of time. That's so last year.

Yes that is exactly what I want for Carter. So excited about her clips in the promo--if she does not swoop in like an avenging angel and take out HR at the knees I will be terribly terribly disappointed.

I'm curious to see how (or if) the show addresses the NSA revelations. Howard obviously knows that no one can be trusted with full access to the machine, but he and Reese just as clearly violate people's privacy in myriad ways. When they see the NSA doing the same, will they change?

I agree! It will be very interesting to see how they play the what is okay/what is not okay in regards to privacy and information mining. I don't think Reese or Finch will ever stop doing what they doing unless they meet a brick wall (and by that, I mean 50 pounds of semtex).
I think the writers are moving slightly away from specific government agencies with their use of the "Control"... but how they deal with (or ignore) the ramifications will be super intriguing.
I personally think now that the show will begin to step farther away from reality, but how that will effect ethical questions like that is up in the air.

I want to see what Greer is getting up to. And Root, and the NSA, and the elusive Ma'am. So, yeah, basically all the bad guys.
I don't know if they'll ever bring Grace back, but I'd love to see her on the show again.
I'm curious to see how POI coincides with real world events. After PRISM, the argument over public outcry is somewhat invalid, because the public doesn't seem particularly bothered. I guess what I'm really interested in is whether this changes the idea that the government wants Finch dead-- especially now that his cover is blown.
I'd like to see how/if the Reese-Finch dynamic is changed after the Ordos reveal. If it's tighter, perhaps, or if they're more open with each other. (yeah. like. we might finally get to know Harold's favorite color or something.)
And, forgive me for getting capslocky, but NATHAN. They said we'll see more of Brett Cullen, and I NEED MORE NATHAN FLASHBACKS. And little Harold. Both of those, so much.
